This simple custard is rich, silky, and packed with protein and healthy fats. It’s made with just three ingredients and bakes to perfection.
Ingredients:
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, heavy cream, and vanilla extract (if using).
- Pour the mixture into small ramekins and place them in a baking dish. Fill the dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the ramekins.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the custard is set but slightly jiggly in the center.
- Cool and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
